FOR CHARITY
CAPTIVE: A Halloween Festival was born from the frustrations we’re all feeling of not being connected. First and foremost, our primary goal is to reconnect with our friends and larger network in a fun and memorable way.
But that’s not the only reason we’re doing it.
We’re also fundraising for two incredible causes that go hand-in-hand:
Get Mitch or Die Trying is a national fund that distributes donations to Democratic Senate candidates who represent communities that deserve some much-needed change.
StreetWatch LA is a local nonprofit that provides crucial supplies for the homeless, such as hand-washing stations, hygiene and harm reduction supplies, tents, and food.
We’re fundraising a few different ways. First, if you aren’t able to attend the festival (or aren’t interested in our Charity Bundles), you can simply donate to us directly by using the following button.
Second, while most of our events are free, we’re charging $10 for our featured night, Dark Corners: A Virtual House Party. Lastly, Julia Hubner has spearheaded the monumental task of creating several Charity Bundles:

Charity Bundle for our Hocus Pocus movie night as well as our double feature of Scream & I Know What You Did Last Summer.

At a time when you can't go to the movie theater, we're bringing the movie theater experience to you—except our ingredients are elevated and our floors aren't sticky (well, technically it depends on your floor, soooo....)

Our Charity Bundle for My Parents Won't Be Home: A '90s Slumber Party. This striking photo perfectly encapsulates the horror of what it was like to be a middle schooler.

Inside you'll find all the treats you'll need for our candy tasting, as well as some other nostalgic '90s goodies including a slap bracelet and a Tamagotchi!
Please note that Charity Bundles are limited. We encourage those interested to act quickly as supplies will run out. If you’re interested you can head over to our Tickets page and add one or more to your cart by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the event listing.
THANK YOU
Know that regardless of how you choose to contribute, all net proceeds go directly to these two nonprofits, meaning your contributions will make a huge difference to a lot of people's lives, and hell—you might even save democracy itself in the process.
